Doing a survey

When you sign up with PI-Opinion, you join the thousands of other Americans who serve as members of our research panel.

Doing a survey

We are a small company that mostly researches how Americans think about various issues of the day. You may not hear from us often, but hopefully you will find the research topics interesting and worthwhile.

You will usually be contacted in the form of an email that invites you to do something like click onto an internet survey, or sign up for a phone interview. We try to give people ample time to respond, but it helps if your contact email is one that you check regularly. The email will let you know the amount of the compensation (usually in the form of an Amazon.com gift card) and our estimate as to how long it will take most people to complete the survey or interview.

Doing a survey

Because we pay for our panel’s answers, we also maintain relatively high standards, and the panel is divided into various categories. Panel members that offer incomplete, short, or poor quality responses will gradually fall in the ranks and eventually out of the panel. Members that offer complete, thoughtful, and on-topic responses will rise up through the ranks and will tend to hear from us more often, and are also more likely to be contacted about the longer interview projects.
